TAM TAM is an information and communications device (web platform and serious game) created for those of Bayer’s collaborators working in domains currently under high public scrutiny such as genetically modified crops, nanotechnologies and the extinction of bees.
In addition to it being scientifically and sociologically informative, it is playful way to open the debate that questions Bayer’s positions for collaborators and civil society stakeholders.
KTM Advance was responsible for the development of the interactive solution initiated by the group Traces (web platform and game).
The objectives of the project are to allow employees to clarify their own feelings, individually and collectively, with regards to the issues concerning Bayer and the ensuing media coverage, to provide them with discussion tools so they can represent Bayer to the public at large (clients, service providers, friends and loved ones, shopkeepers, journalists, etc.) and finally, to allow Bayer executives to understand just how the company’s employees feel about its activities while allowing employees access to key information concerning the public’s view.
A face-to-face and digital solution, TAM TAM has been in existence since 2012, a hybrid of study group, debate forum, field investigation and on-line game.
Twelve scientific themes are addressed, each of which was the subject of a debate moderated by a professional science-and-society mediator.
“The impact of this serious game has been very positive, as per the feedback from employees participating at the debates.”
