Valenciennes, France, April 16, 2012: KTM Advance plans to establish a production center of next-generation games in Valenciennes, and to matriculate into the local and regional market of the digital interactive sector.
KTM Advance, European leader in e-learning and custom-built Serious Games for professional training, entered a new stage in its development by industrializing the production of its Serious Games. This implantation project in Valenciennes, aided by a very rich regional, industrial economic environment and a Northern-Europe location advantageous for development in UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg markets, was permitted, accompanied, and supported by Valenciennes Métropole, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Northern France, Pole Images Nord Pas-de-Calais and the Région.
Destined to be hosted in the “Serre Numérique”, a brand-new business center, this ambitious plan will lead directly to the creation of 100 jobs over three years in the Valenciennes region, and will provide more ordering opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises within the region’s digital sector through outsourcing.
This project, for which the company was recently distinguished with the “Corporate Strategy Prize 2012” from the Forum of Corporate Strategy at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, received financial support from the National Fund for Digital Society (FSN), the fund managed by the Caisse des Dépôts on behalf of the State Program for Future Investments, as well as the regional funds FINORPA SCR and FINORPA PP.
Thanks to this new establishment, KTM Advance will come to reinforce the digital sector in the area and contribute to the structure of a growing industry that represents an accelerator of paramount importance for the French economy in terms of job creation, value, and exports.
“The implantation of a production site in Valenciennes is an important step for the development of KTM Advance,” said Yves DAMBACH, Chairman and Managing Director of KTM Advance. “I am convinced that the extraordinary infrastructure of the Nord-Pas de Calais region and the favorable environment for our business will allow us to achieve our ambitious Serious Games production targets. The logistical support from our local partners, from FINORPA, and from the Caisse des Dépôts will permit us to add a new successful chapter to our company and to the progression of online training in the world.”
