Société Générale - Inception

The ITEC Department of the investment bank Société Générale CIB wished to create an integration course for its new employees, mainly young people of the Y generation with experience in new technologies and video games.

The game “Inception” was the result, and rests on two traditional game mechanisms:
– Sliding Puzzles
– Board Games

There are five worlds in which the apprentice-player must clear various levels. Each world has a given theme and associated reference documents.

Jean-Luc Ferraton, ITEC-PRD – Global Head of TSM Team
– “The project was so popular that two other entities of the group copied our game.”
– “Three key factors contributed to the game’s success: the first relates to the creation of a community characterized by a high level of voluntary involvement. The second concerns our relationship with KTM Advance, with whom we had many shared exchanges, meetings and common challenges. And finally, the last factor corresponds to the management of the project based on costs, risks and a successful timeline.”

“Inception” received several awards:
– 1st Prize at Trophées de l’Innovation Interne – Banque d’Investissement SG CIB (internal jury)
– 2nd Prize at Trophées de l’Innovation Interne – Banque de Détail Société Générale (internal july)
– Audience Award – Société Générale 2012 (jury composed of the SG employees worldwide)
