THE PROFESSIONAL ISSUE (GAME)

The Ile de France Fongecif, OPCALIA Ile de France, and APEC came together to release “ The Professional Issue (Game),” a Serious Game developed by KTM Advance.

This attractive, fun tool (available via this address: http://www.enjeuprofessionnel.apec.fr/) allows any private sector employee to accelerate their career while discovering different devices available for professional evolution.

Fully realized by KTM Advance, this Serious Game with an interactive and friendly interface responds to a need for employee information and awareness of the means and resources available for building a professional career. The learner may choose between five scenarios, each lasting from 20 to 25 minutes, which let them unlock documentary resources at the heart of the issue of each adventure:

-Annual meeting: prepare and optimize their strategic rendezvous

-Training: learn throughout their professional life

-Competency review: make a point to prepare for their professional future

-Second career maintenance: begin the “second half”

- Validating acquisition and experience: transform their years of experience into a degree

Each scenario is presented in the form of a humoristic cartoon where the learner intervenes to unlock certain situations and find necessary information to build their professional project. They must respond to a quiz between each episode.

In Bertrand Hébert’s, manager of APEC’s, opinion, “This serious game is the fruit of a star collaboration with our partners OPCALIA Ile de France and Fongecif Ile-de-France. Strong in APEC’s competence management expertise, we developed a tool whose three key objectives are to facilitate access to development tools and training information, to enable employees to fully be their own professional actor, and to optimize the efficiency of maintenance devices.

“This game is a part of our offered services; it allows a diversification of information supports and offers an interactivity which contributes to the individual making a career plan early in the process,” says Laurent Nahon, Manager of Fongecif Ile de France.

“Professional Issue completes the Opcalia Ile de France toolbox on the theme of an employee actor. This kit includes a methodology for the attention of businesses and another serious game, Between2 (Entre2), on professional meetings conceptualized for managers. The notion of an employee actor constitutes one of five strategic, fixed orientations by social partners of Opacalia Ile de France. The issue is capitally important, both for employees in terms of job security and companies which must count on formed and motivated employees…all while ensuring their continued employability,” explains Phillipe Huguenin-Genie, manager of Opcalia Ile de France.
