Blossom Flower project for MEA-I

This game aims to help micro-entrepreneurs to develop a smart use of technologies (Hardware et Software), to focus on the technologies requested to improve a business management, to assess their weaknesses and strengths with regard to the new information technologies, and acquire skills to use the relevant technology in a set of contexts.
The target audience is mainly feminine, split in two key groups : Young women aged 16 to 25 years old. Women aged more than 25 years old. They mainly originated from the Middle East, Europe, North Africa or Africa.
A management and role playing game (RPG)

Where the player manages and develops a flower business in a bad situation through the smart use of technologies : The learner needs to improve the turnover, the clients’ satisfaction and the manager’s well-being.
To achieve this mission, the player runs the plantation, the office, interacts with the clients in the market place, and gets training, hardware, software and advice in the resource centre.
The more the business grows, the more new situations occur, and the more skills the user develops.
Play the role of Maya

Maya receives a letter from her cousin, who asks her to take care of his business meanwhile.
He started a flower business a year ago, with no experience in the domain. Maya is a bit worried, she doesn’t have much information. In the office she finds: outstanding mails, an old computer and a big board covered with scribbled post-its.
Maya will have to take care of the business, the plantation, the clients’ relationship, and develop the activity.
The environment of the game consists of:

• an avatar interface
• a generic game engine
• a game motor based on an economic model
• a real challenge
• rewards : points and medals
• levels of difficulty
• a game session : maximum 30 minutes
• unpredictable events all through the game
• simulation of real interactions with the environment
The view is « 3D isometric » with different levels of zoom, which gives the player a global approach of the business.
A scenario editor will allow the developer to create texts, change the initial situation, decide how events are launched, etc.
